Don’t Feed The Birds!

I've always loved pigeons. The way they gather, wait, and live among us without permission. Like Mike Tyson, I find something tender in their resilience. They've seen everything we've built and thrown away, surviving off our excess with quiet dignity.

Don't Feed the Pigeons explores the overlooked ecologies of urban appetite, examining how food circulates between humans, waste, and birds in New York City. Across restaurants, convenience stores, park benches, and sidewalks, I follow the shared gestures of feeding: abundance, hunger, generosity, and survival.

What we discard becomes their meal. What they scavenge reflects our habits to us. In the end, "Don’t Feed the Birds" is less about pigeons and more about how the city feeds itself twice over, once in public and once in the margins.
